"After gracing us with a dizzyingly powerful debut outing on Mind Records earlier this year, Italian producer Anna Funk Damage punches in with his second delivery, ‘Mauro Las Vegas‘, an all-consuming six-track slab of ruthless basement jams and screwed-up electronics primed for deep-web guerilla warfare and epic bursts of high-octane action in the basement. Landing now via Out Of Order, a no-miss.
Sure to throw dancers in a state of drugged-out daze, the title-track ushers us into a bizarre Caesar Palace’esque drunken scenario. Imagine reeling down an endless hotel corridor full with crimson hangings and baroque wall lights, your feet caught in spongy carpet quicksands, sweaty palms buried deep into bottomless pockets as your mind dangerously drifts off to a land of faux-milk and honey; the sound of the whirling roulette and bookies’ orders spinning in your head like a veiled threat. 100% bonkers stuff from a producer in full control of his inner weirdo self."

Some words by the artist:
"Honestly i don't think much about what I want to convey when I make music, I just sit, drink and smoke something.
However, everything was composed in 2018, with the exception of a few pieces that needed some more recent changes.
At that time I listened a lot Refused, Primus, Godflesh, Tyler the creator, Sonic youth and the Libertines …
I wanted to insert some guitar distortions so I took inspiration from there ... from the basement, from the music of my adolescence and if I think about it, is the one I listen to still today. I immediately liked the effect I found, the slightly punk outline, the rough of the guitars blended everything exquisitely. Mauro Las Vegas is a character who was born talking to a colleague of mine, I imagined how a man from a small town in the province, one of those who is at the bar drinking wine and campari talking about football from morning to evening without work and without money could feel in Las vegas; a stupid thought. It made me laugh and at the same time I was a little sad.
Don't ask me why. However i think the track became powerful."
